Odessa National University named after Mechnikov has entered the top ten best universities in the country according to the «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking.

According to the new ranking of Ukrainian universities «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025», the leading position is held by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
In second place is Lviv Polytechnic, which improved its previous year's third position in the ranking.
The third position in this year's ranking is held by Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which led in 2024.
Sumy State University ranks fourth.
Fifth place is taken by Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko.
Sixth place in the ranking goes to Kharkiv National University named after I. Franko.
Seventh is the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences.
The eighth position is awarded to the Carpathian National University named after Ivan Franko.
Ninth place in the ranking is held by Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
Odessa National University named after Mechnikov is placed tenth. Mechnikov is ranked tenth.
It is noteworthy that the “TOP-200 Ukraine” ranking has been compiled for the ninth consecutive year by the Center for International Projects “Euroeducation” together with the international group of experts IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence.
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv consistently ranks among the best universities in the country. However, last year it was in second place, losing to the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
In forming this year's «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking, the compilers considered contemporary trends in higher education transformation amid significant changes caused by both structural reforms and major losses from the full-scale war.
