Water Supply Alternatives in Odesa
Overview of the water supply situation in Odesa and alternative water sources during the power outage.
The Odesa port has suffered a significant missile strike. This incident has led to casualties among workers.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported this via Telegram.
Today, an «Iskander» missile hit one of the port's docks. At the time, workers were unloading cargo from a foreign vessel registered under the flag of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Two people lost their lives, including a docker and a truck driver. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased.
Additionally, six individuals were injured, including port workers, a driver, and two Syrian nationals who were crew members on the commercial vessel. All necessary assistance is being provided to the injured.
The attack also damaged infrastructure, including gantry cranes, equipment, and warehouses.
Russia has been targeting our ports for four consecutive years. It strikes at the infrastructure that connects Ukraine to the world, and at the people working daily to keep critical operations running. This attack further illustrates Russia's intent to destroy our transport nodes and the lives of innocent civilians.
Safe and free navigation must be the norm, not the exception. There must be a strong international response. The world cannot remain silent in the face of deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure.
