The Ukrainian air defense forces eliminated 88 out of 140 Russian drones.

According to the report, starting from 21:00 on Sunday, August 17, the Russians attacked Ukraine with four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from areas such as Taganrog, Millerovo, and Kursk, as well as 140 Shahed-type strike drones and various imitation drones from directions including Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, and others. The response to the aerial assault was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drones, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Preliminary data as of 09:00 on Monday, August 18, indicates that air defense shot down 88 enemy Shahed-type drones and imitation drones across various regions of Ukraine. Strikes by missiles and attack drones were recorded at 25 locations in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.
