New Threat from Russia: Ballistic Missiles and Drones
Latest updates on Russia's attacks on the Odesa region, including ballistic missile launches and drone interceptions.
On November 28, the Ukrainian Naval Forces successfully detected and eliminated a sea mine in the waters of the Odesa region. To ensure the safety of navigation and local residents, the hazardous object was destroyed through a controlled detonation.
According to information provided by the Ukrainian Navy on Facebook, military personnel discovered the explosive device during monitoring operations in the Odesa waters. Thanks to the prompt actions of specialists, the threat was quickly localized, and necessary measures were taken for its neutralization.
"We successfully destroyed the sea mine found in the Odesa region. The controlled detonation removed the threat to navigation and the local population," the statement reads.
The destruction of sea mines is an integral part of the Ukrainian Navy's ongoing demining efforts in the Black Sea in the context of full-scale war. The presence of mines in coastal waters poses a serious danger to both civilian and military shipping, thus specialists continue systematic work to detect and eliminate hazardous objects in the Odesa waters and other regions.
