The Mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Piotr Lukasiewicz.

The Polish delegation is in Odessa as part of the Black Sea Security Forum, a platform for international dialogue on security matters in the Black Sea region.

Mr. Lukasiewicz noted that this was his first visit to Odessa, and he was deeply impressed by the city's spirit—both its rich history and culture, as well as the resilience of its residents in these challenging times.

Also present at the meeting was the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Odessa, Jacek Gocłowski.

The participants discussed the current situation in Ukraine and Poland, and emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory.

Additionally, the parties explored prospects for enhancing economic and cultural cooperation, including the potential organization of a Polish culture festival in Odessa.
