Water Supply Alternatives in Odesa
Overview of the water supply situation in Odesa and alternative water sources during the power outage.
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, held a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani community.
During the meeting, they discussed the landscaping project of a green area dedicated to the friendly nation — Azerbaijan.
This area spans over 2 hectares of recreational land at the 4th station of the Great Fountain.
Participants addressed the landscaping concept, implementation stages, and mechanisms for funding and collaboration. The project is philanthropic and is being implemented similarly to the parks in Istanbul and Greece.
Jalil Astanov, the head of the NGO “Odesa Azerbaijani Diaspora ‘Birlik’,” stated that the future park will become a beautiful public space created out of love for native Odesa and Azerbaijan.
The Mayor assured full support for the project and emphasized that the idea of creating the ‘Azerbaijan’ park had been maturing for a long time, but without the diaspora's support, its realization would lose meaning.
“Today, there is complete understanding between the municipality and the diaspora, and the start of project implementation reflects the unshakeable faith of Odesites of all nationalities in Ukraine's victory,” noted Hennadii Trukhanov.
After the meeting, the participants visited the park at the 4th station of the Great Fountain, where they communicated with local residents. They also received consent for collaboration in creating the park from a construction company building a residential complex nearby.
