Storm Winds in Odesa: Aftermath of the Gale
A storm in Odesa resulted in downed trees and damaged vehicles.
Nearly 1500 public service workers are deployed on the streets of Odessa, actively addressing the aftermath of the storm that hit the city on September 4-5.
As of the morning of September 6, reports indicate that 40 trees and large branches have fallen in Odessa. Additional information is still coming in.
Greenery specialists from the «Municipal Greenery Trust» and «Housing and Communal Services» are taking turns cutting and removing fallen trees and branches. They prioritize the removal of trees that obstruct traffic or access to essential social facilities.
Experts from the «City Roads» department are clearing debris from storm drains, sewer wells, and collectors. They are manually and with the help of specialized equipment washing and removing sand and dirt washed onto the streets by rainwater.
Additionally, the storm has caused disruptions to street lighting networks at 30 locations. Technicians from «Odessa City Light» are working to restore these networks.
Furthermore, public workers continue their routine tasks of cleaning designated areas, collecting and removing fallen leaves and random litter.
