Last night, a fire broke out at a geriatric nursing home in the village of Malihonove in the Berezivsky district, covering an area of 100 square meters.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

During the firefighting efforts, rescuers discovered the bodies of three victims. Before the firefighters arrived, 17 individuals were evacuated from the building, with six suffering from smoke inhalation and subsequently hospitalized.

Psychologists from the emergency service were present at the scene, providing assistance to ten individuals.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. A total of 5 fire units and 20 rescuers were deployed to extinguish the flames, alongside one unit from the local community.
