The municipal enterprise «Odesa Water Service» operates 16 public fountain complexes throughout the city. The depth of the wells ranges from 111 to 149 meters. 

Each fountain provides between 8 and 12 cubic meters of water per shift (from 08:00 to 20:00). The extracted purified water from the wells is available to all. 

Water from the fountains is tested monthly for compliance with sanitary standards. 

On November 17, 2024, due to a massive attack on the energy sector, water and energy supply in Odesa was halted. This led to increased demand at the public fountains. On November 17 and 18, approximately 13,000 and 12,000 visitors came for drinking water, respectively. 

Under normal conditions, about 10,000 visitors use 14 fountains in the city daily. Each fountain is equipped with an alternative power source in case of power outages.

The fountains located in Mechnikov Park and on Yaroslav the Wise Ave. are closed for major repairs.
