Celebrating Flag Day in Ukraine
Flag Day in Ukraine symbolizes the history and struggle of the Ukrainian people.
According to the data from NEC "UKRENERGO", as temperatures drop, electricity consumption increases. The energy system is still recovering from massive enemy attacks.
The higher the power of the device, the more electricity it consumes. A higher energy efficiency rating means less consumption. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider what devices you buy and use to save money and reduce the load on the energy system.
Smart energy saving can prevent overloads in the system and potential outages.
Energy experts' tips for saving electricity:
- unplug devices when not in use (chargers, TVs on standby, etc.). Even in «sleep mode», household appliances consume a lot of energy;
- boil only the necessary amount of water — this will save you time and money, and reduce energy use;
- run washing and dishwashing machines fully loaded and preferably at night — after the evening peak. Choose lower temperature settings for washing;
- use energy-efficient light bulbs. Don’t leave lights on in empty rooms;
- charge smartphones, laptops, and power banks at night when consumption is lowest.
Energy experts also remind you not to turn on several high-power devices simultaneously during peak consumption hours: in the morning from 07:00 to 11:00 and in the evening from 16:00 to 22:00.
