Combatting Ambrosia in Odessa: Measures and Guidelines

In the first quarter of 2025, the gambling sector in Ukraine contributed 5.4 billion UAH in tax payments to the state budget, which is a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
This information was reported by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, Danilo Hetmantsev.
“This figure is 143 times higher than the level of January-March 2021 (37.7 million UAH),” the MP noted.
According to him, in January 2025, the budget received 735 million UAH, in February – 1.52 billion UAH, and in March – 3.13 billion UAH.
He also mentioned that the amount of revenues using cash registers for the first two months of 2025 reached 8.5 billion UAH, exceeding the January-February 2024 level by 18.5 times (0.5 billion UAH).
“The introduction of mandatory cash register usage by the gambling sector at the end of last year has contributed to the sector's formalization,” Hetmantsev pointed out.
