In Odessa, the construction of a new pump station is underway to offer residents alternative water sources. 
In September 2024, work commenced on the establishment of a pump station featuring artesian water in the park near the “Zoryany” cinema, as reported by the Odessa City Council press service. This initiative aims to supply water to the residents of the Peresyp district. The drilling of the artesian well has been completed, and the perimeter of its sanitary protection zone is enclosed with a decorative fence.  Currently, contractors are constructing the pump station building: equipment for water purification is being installed, technical rooms for staff are being set up, and a water distribution point is being organized. The roofing of the building is in the final stages. Additionally, interior finishing works in the technical building of the pump station are ongoing: wall plastering, flooring, and installation of networks and communications, among others. Preparatory works for landscaping the area surrounding the pump station have also begun.  The completion of the pump station construction is scheduled for summer 2025.
