Tragic Incident in Odesa: Military Academy Cadet Found Dead
A cadet from the Military Academy has been found dead in Odesa. An investigation into the circumstances is underway.
Odesa is set to introduce automatic modular toilets specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. This initiative was discussed at a recent meeting of the Barrier-Free Council chaired by the mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
In response to a request from the Barrier-Free Council’s expert group, the Department of Municipal Services has reviewed the implementation of similar facilities in Ukraine, particularly in the capital city.
During the meeting, a module featuring two stalls was presented: one is spacious and can accommodate a wheelchair user or a mother with a stroller. The metal, anti-corrosion stall is equipped with an automatic cleaning function, motion sensors for all functionalities, and a system that automatically unlocks after 15 minutes. It also includes an operator call button and a module for cashless payments.
The proposal to install such automatic modular toilets at Soborna Square, in the City Garden, along Prymorsky Boulevard, and on Ukrainian Heroes Avenue will be brought to the Odesa City Council session.
