Restoration Forum in Kyiv: United for the Future

On April 16, an international forum focused on restoration was held in Kyiv, bringing together representatives from the Ukrainian government, international organizations, and local authorities. The main goal was to unite efforts for the country's recovery.

The forum was opened by Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba, who emphasized the importance of communities in ensuring the country's resilience.

Kuleba also announced financial aid of 1.5 billion UAH for frontline communities last week, with an additional 1.8 billion this week. Participants discussed recovery strategies, and international partners confirmed their readiness to continue support, especially through UNDP and Japan, which has already provided over 12 billion dollars to Ukraine.

From the Odesa region, Deputy Head of the Odesa OVA, Andriy Figel, participated in the forum.

Key highlights of the forum:

— Communities are the foundation of resilience. They are the first to face the challenges of war, providing essential services and supporting the population;

— The «Shoulder to Shoulder» initiative. More than 450 communities have already united to implement joint recovery projects from schools to healthcare facilities;

— Financial support for frontline regions. The government allocated 3.3 billion UAH for shelters, equipment, and critical infrastructure;

— International support. Japan has already provided Ukraine with over 12 billion dollars. UNDP and other partners are enhancing their assistance;

— The DREAM digital ecosystem. Modern digital tools allow monitoring the recovery process, controlling projects, and increasing transparency.

Unity is strength. It helps maintain direction, build strategies for the future, and restore the country even in the toughest conditions.
