Modernizing Educational Spaces in Odesa Region

The Odesa region is actively engaged in the development of modern educational spaces: preparations for specialized schools are ongoing.

The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Anton Shalyhaylo, and the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Oleksandr Lonchak, participated in a presentation of new approaches to shaping educational environments, held in Kyiv with representatives from government bodies, agencies, and the educational community.

This event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the reform of specialized secondary schools, aiming to discuss further collaboration on equipping educational spaces, laboratories, and workshops in general secondary and vocational education institutions ahead of the new academic year with funds from state and local budgets.

The government allocated nearly 500 million UAH for modernizing the classrooms of specialized secondary schools. Currently, a call for project applications has been announced for obtaining grant funding in 2025 for the establishment of modern educational spaces.

Well-equipped classrooms will create conditions for the successful implementation of the secondary school reform, allowing students to choose their areas of study and courses according to their interests and future aspirations starting in 2027.
