On April 29, 2025, the Odessa City Council initiated an inspection of the technical and sanitary condition of the Black Sea gully, stretching from Old Lustdorf Road to the «Chornomorka» beach.

The commission included representatives from various departments: the Department of Ecology, the Kyiv District Administration, the Department of Municipal Services, the Territorial Engineering Protection Office, and the «City Roads» utility along with the «Infoksvodokanal» branch.

During the inspection, unauthorized discharges of wastewater from private households into the Black Sea gully were discovered. However, no discharges from the gully into the sea at the «Chornomorka» beach were recorded.

The commission instructed the responsible services to promptly eliminate the identified illegal discharges and take measures to hold accountable those responsible.

Additionally, checks on other sections of the Black Sea gully will be conducted to prevent any potential unauthorized wastewater discharges.
