Musical Celebration for Ukraine's Independence Day
A vibrant concert in Odessa celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day, featuring a mix of musical styles.
Dear residents of Odessa!
A year has passed, and finally, the Parliament has approved an important bill regarding humanitarian transport in the second reading.
This initiative was launched by me last spring. The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development quickly drafted the bill, which received support from the Association of Ukrainian Cities.
What does this mean for Odessa and other Ukrainian communities that previously received buses from international partners?
In total, there are over 350 buses — spacious, comfortable, and with zero emissions, as experimentally confirmed, suitable for transporting people with disabilities. For the Odessa community, this means twenty modern Mercedes buses that were donated by our sister cities in 2024, but due to legislative restrictions, they have been idling in the fleet of «Odessamiskelektrotrans» all this time.
The important next step is for the Cabinet to develop the procedure for using humanitarian buses. This will legally formalize the transport under our municipal enterprise, register it, and put it into city routes.
At the same time, we will work on finding and training qualified drivers to ensure quality and safety for Odessa residents during transportation.
We will keep moving forward!
