Summer is approaching in Odessa, and many entrepreneurs are preparing to upgrade the beach areas. 

The lessee of 1,250 sq.m in the southern part of «Arcadia» beach (south of the Rotonda) has developed a project for the renovation of the waterfront and beach area, as well as a public relaxation zone, and has approached the Odessa City Council for approval of this project. 

The northern section of «Arcadia» beach is managed by the municipal enterprise «Odessa Coast».

The waterfront improvement project includes: 

• creation of a pedestrian zone;
• installation of an accessibility lift for individuals with disabilities;
• provision of bins, benches, and lighting;
• landscaping the area with decorative pots.

The beach upgrade entails: 

• the leased area will feature a summer terrace with a canopy;
• renovation of the stairs leading to the beach;
• restoration of the retaining wall surface;
• on the municipal beach area, a canopy for people with limited mobility will be constructed;
• installation of shower facilities, changing rooms, and a lifeguard tower.

The proposed project solutions have been approved by the relevant departments of the Odessa City Council.

The waterfront and beach improvements will comply with the regulations and operational standards of Odessa for non-capital structures. 

All works will be fully financed by the lessee without the use of budget funds.
