Renovation of the Beach for People with Disabilities at Station 11

Renovation works are in full swing at the beach for individuals with disabilities at Station 11 of the Great Fountain.

The project is overseen by the City Engineering Protection Department and the Odessa City Council.

Currently, a metal framework and terrace decking have been installed, along with fencing elements on the traverse. A metal ramp for easier access to the sea is being assembled and installed.

Reinforced concrete ramps and decking have been manufactured and delivered, with fencing elements ready to be placed on the retaining wall.

Major repairs have also been made to the sewage pumps and the external sewage system, with renovations of changing rooms and showers completed, and solid concrete staircases constructed for beach access.

Renovations of restroom facilities for individuals with limited mobility, a medical station, and a storage/security area are ongoing.

Additionally, preparations for a concrete area for the installation of fitness equipment are in progress.

For the safety of future beach visitors, a concrete shelter has been produced and installed.

The completion of the inclusive beach renovation is planned for the end of June 2025.
