Uzhhorod Hosts National Sambo Championship
The National Sambo Championship took place in Uzhhorod, featuring junior and cadet competitors.
A new inclusive multi-sports ground has appeared on the shore of the Black Sea in Odesa.
This facility, located at the «Dolphin» beach, continues the initiative for the development of the health trail sports infrastructure.
Since its opening, various sports events have taken place. On the upper level, warm-ups for boxing matches, karate masterclasses, and sessions on strength training equipment were conducted. The middle level became a hub for sambo, table tennis, and wushu, while the lower level saw war veterans and people with disabilities trying out inclusive training equipment and participating in an adaptive Muay Thai masterclass led by world champion Vasyl Sorokin.
Among the attendees at the opening ceremony were Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, local government representatives, veteran organizations, sports federations, patrons, and youth.
The mayor emphasized the importance of accessible sports infrastructure that inspires the community to lead a healthy lifestyle and unites the residents of the city even in challenging times. He pointed out that the opening of this facility is the result of fruitful collaboration between the government, business, and the active community of Odesa.
“This space was created by those who do not seek fame but confidently change the city. It was built according to all standards and is accessible to everyone: residents, visitors, people with disabilities, families with children, and of course, veterans who need physical activity, rehabilitation, and support,” said Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The inclusive sports facility is equipped with 12 modern training machines, a boxing ring, a crossfit area, a gymnastic complex, rehabilitation trainers, tables for tennis, and everything necessary for full and comfortable sports activities.
