Every year, during the warm months, the employees of the «Service Center» in Odesa clean and maintain monuments that are not considered part of the cultural heritage. There are 45 such objects under the management of the enterprise, scattered throughout the city.

Additionally, monuments are repaired and painted as needed.

Currently, specialists have completed ongoing repairs of six monumental art objects and landscaping elements:

• monument «Abduction of Europe»;
• monument to pilot M. Gastello;
• monument to Boris Derevyanko;
• memorial plaque;
• monument to T.G. Shevchenko;
• landscaping element located at Ovidiopolskyi Road, corner of Central Airport Street.

As part of the repairs, stairs were restored, all damages on the structures were fixed, chips and salt residue on the tiled surface were removed, and all painted elements were refreshed.

To prevent possible vandalism, monuments are treated with an anti-vandal protective solution at the final stage of work.

From spring to autumn, monuments are washed twice a month. Special chemical agents and equipment are used for dust cleaning. A lift is also involved if necessary.
