In Odesa, there is an ongoing project to install new cogeneration systems provided through collaboration with GIZ Ukraine as part of the SUR initiative.

Recently, Mr. Ralf Grotenhoff visited Odesa, leading the construction component of the «Strengthening Urban Resilience in Ukraine» (SUR) program.

«These meetings are crucial for our shared goal — ensuring a stable energy supply under challenging conditions. We are also starting to discuss new opportunities for collaboration in upcoming projects», emphasized Odesa's Deputy Mayor Anna Pozdnyakova.

At the municipal enterprise KP «TMO», work continues without interruption. The installation of cogeneration machines is a complex process that requires significant resources and the focus of specialists. Experts are doing their utmost to ensure the new equipment is ready before the heating season begins.

The SUR initiative supporting Odesa is part of German transitional assistance aimed at enhancing the energy independence of Ukrainian communities. This not only prepares the city for winter challenges but also lays the groundwork for sustainable changes in urban livelihoods.
