New Attack on Odesa: Consequences and Response

On the night of July 18-19, the city of Odesa was once again targeted in a large-scale attack using strike drones.

The strike resulted in damage to residential buildings, civic infrastructure, and vehicles. Tragically, one woman who was rescued has died.

Municipal services in Odesa, in collaboration with district administrations, are actively working to mitigate the consequences of the latest enemy shelling.

Specialists from municipal enterprises such as ‘JKS Cheriomushky’, ‘JKS Vuzivskyi’, ‘City Roads’, and ‘Miskzelentrest’ are quickly sealing broken windows in damaged buildings with protective film and plywood, clearing debris, and ensuring the cleanup of surrounding areas.

Currently, it is known that the shockwave has damaged 138 windows in apartments and entrances, as well as 12 balcony blocks. A total of 21 cubic meters of debris has been removed.

About 200 municipal workers and heavy machinery (12 units) are involved in the cleanup efforts: 3 aerial platforms, 4 dump trucks, 2 excavators, 2 street sweepers, and 1 tractor.
