Beach Inspections in Odesa: Summary of Findings

The inspection of leased beaches in the Odesa district has been completed. A working group, established by the mayor's order, conducted a thorough examination of beach areas to ensure compliance with operational rules, sanitary conditions, and public access.

The group included representatives from the city authorities, the Barrier-Free Council, and veterans' organizations.

During the inspection, key requirements were checked:

  • at least 30% of the leased area must be reserved for public use;
  • no temporary structures on the sand;
  • compliance with sanitary norms;
  • ensuring unobstructed passage along the waterline and between beach sections.

The working group identified several violations, including the placement of sun loungers directly by the water, obstructing passage, as well as instances of unauthorized trading. These cases were recorded by the police, and protocols were drawn up.

Lessees were provided with recommendations to improve accessibility conditions.

A summarized report with conclusions and proposals for improving the situation for the next recreational season will be prepared based on the inspection results.

The next step is to inspect the beaches of the Primorsky district in Odesa.
