The Consultative Diagnostic Center No. 6 in Odesa has launched a state-of-the-art fibrogastroscope.

This device features chromoscopy modes that allow for a detailed assessment of mucosal health and early detection of cancers. It is also used for diagnosing gastritis, stomach ulcers, and other gastric conditions, as well as for removing foreign objects.

With advanced video technology, the physician can view high-quality images during the procedure.

The apparatus can record photos and videos, enabling documentation of pathological changes in the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum for subsequent patient treatment strategies.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) can be performed free of charge in Odesa's healthcare facilities under the state medical guarantee program, based on agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

Last year, over 24,500 gastroscopies were conducted in the city's healthcare institutions. It is recommended that individuals over 50 undergo routine gastroscopy, even in the absence of complaints.

Odesa's medical facilities are equipped with modern diagnostic tools for performing gastroscopy. The service is provided on an outpatient basis upon referral from a family or treating doctor.
