In Odesa, there are 17 drinking fountain complexes equipped with wells ranging from 80 to 120 meters deep. All of them are managed by the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center». The water from these wells is freely available to all residents.

Daily, the employees of the «Service Center» begin their shifts by preparing the equipment for dispensing drinking water. They also ensure cleanliness in the areas surrounding the fountains.

The municipal workers also carry out the following tasks:

• disinfecting the water dispensing taps;
• sanitary cleaning of the water dispensing zones and the surrounding area;
• cleaning the adjacent territory;
• systematic clearing of leaves and debris from the roofs of the fountain buildings.

According to an agreement with the «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», the quality analysis of artesian water in the fountains is conducted once a month.
