In 2025, the agricultural sector will receive UAH 10.9 billion, of which 43% will be funded by international financial institutions.
This information was shared by Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, as reported by INTERFAX-Ukraine.
"In 2024, the budget support for agricultural producers amounted to UAH 7.075 billion, which was executed through the budget programs of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Economy," she noted.
She specified that 39% of the funding (UAH 2.78 billion) was provided by international financial organizations. Partner funds were allocated as subsidies for 1 hectare (70%), subsidies for maintaining cattle (22%), and subsidies for keeping goats and sheep (8%).
Additionally, 1.36 billion UAH from the state budget was directed towards grants for establishing or developing processing enterprises (65%), horticulture, berry growing, and viticulture (23%), and greenhouse farming (12%).
Yuzhanina announced plans to increase budget support for farmers to UAH 10.9 billion in 2025, with 43% potentially financed by international financial organizations.
She also reminded that budget financing for compensating expenses for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands in 2024 was only UAH 0.4 billion. Of the allocated funds, over UAH 2.5 billion was directed to payments under the "Winter eSupport" program.
