The statement indicated that the parties outlined the potential for obtaining additional funding from the bank and other donors to ensure uninterrupted heating for the 2025-2026 season. They also discussed the prospect of mobilizing resources under EU guarantees.
It was recalled that from 2022 to 2025, the EBRD has already provided nearly 1 billion euros for emergency gas purchases to ensure stable heating seasons.
In 2025 alone, loan agreements were signed with Naftogaz for 770 million euros, of which 500 million euros were guaranteed by the European Commission, and 270 million euros were backed by the government.
