Musical Celebration for Ukraine's Independence Day
A vibrant concert in Odessa celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day, featuring a mix of musical styles.
The Department of Health in Odessa is actively working to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to medical services.
This includes the installation of ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms, navigational aids, and the ability for wheelchair users to move independently within medical facilities.
Health facilities are implementing measures to create a barrier-free environment for patients, such as designated parking spaces, tactile paving, ramped entrances, functional elevators, adapted restrooms for individuals with disabilities, and information navigation using Braille.
Additional examination rooms for patients, including those with special needs, are located on the ground floors.
The principle of barrier-free access is being introduced in all outpatient and inpatient medical establishments. Moreover, renovation works have been carried out to ensure accessibility requirements are met at the Primary Health Care Center No. 2 and in consultative and diagnostic centers No. 20 and No. 29.
In city clinical hospitals No. 1, No. 10, No. 11, and the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3, work is ongoing to create inclusive wards that meet modern accessibility standards for patients with various disabilities, including those with severe impairments needing constant assistance.
This involves equipping wards with functional beds, vital signs monitoring systems, and ceiling or mobile hoists.
With support from charitable foundations, the city's healthcare facilities have received additional inclusive equipment, such as gynecological chairs with lifts and other assistive devices.
