Sergiy Basok's Art Exhibition in Odesa

The Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library is currently hosting a remarkable exhibition featuring the works of Sergiy Basok, a painter and decorator at the Odesa Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy.

The exhibition, titled "Colors of Ukraine", showcases a collection of landscape paintings from various regions of the country that the artist has personally visited:

"Here you will find Chernihiv, the Carpathians, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions, as well as Bakota and even one sketch from Crimea made before 2013. And of course, Odesa and its northern part, where the houses stand among the reeds. Budak is a beautiful spot, with a lagoon on one side and the sea on the other, and a spit stretching for 40 kilometers," the artist shared.

The "Colors of Ukraine" exhibition offers a chance to view familiar places from a fresh perspective and discover new corners of our country through the lens of color and emotion, as noted by the organizers.

"I paint what I love and what I feel. The key is to maintain positivity in my soul, which I convey through my art. When a painting resonates, it already interacts with the viewer. I infuse emotions, and the colors ‘sing’ on the canvas. This, in my opinion, is very important," added Sergiy Basok.
