A Tragedy in the Cultural World: Odesa Opera Soloist Killed

Vladislav Gorai, a celebrated tenor of the Odesa National Opera, tragically lost his life on June 8 while on a volunteer mission in Sumy region.

Vladislav's voice resonated worldwide, while his heart belonged to Ukraine. He was not only a talent on stage but also an embodiment of dignity and kindness. Even in the darkest times, he remained proactive in helping others.

Additional information: According to the website of the Odesa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, Vladislav Gorai was a laureate of the national chamber music competition in Khmelnytskyi and the Antonin Dvořák International Vocal Competition (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic). He joined the opera troupe in 1993 and received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine in 2013. His repertoire includes over twenty opera roles.
