It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Igor Uchitel, a former deputy of the Odessa regional council, at the age of 70.

Igor Leonidovich was a true Odessan who devoted his life to the city he loved.

Throughout his career, he rose from a craftsman to the head of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Odessagas".

He dedicated his efforts to enhancing the gas infrastructure of Odessa, authoring several patents and overseeing the gasification of numerous areas.

His contributions earned him the honorary awards named after Marazli.

In addition to his professional achievements, Igor Uchitel was an active supporter of sports in Odessa, particularly basketball, and promoted various cultural initiatives.

For many years, he assisted the Odessa Zoo and participated in organizing various events.

The Odessa City Council and its Executive Committee extend their heartfelt condolences to Igor Uchitel's family and colleagues.
