Under the supervision of the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa, a private clinic neurologist has been exposed and charged with receiving unlawful benefits for influencing a public official's decision (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation revealed that the doctor promised a serviceman, for a fee, to «resolve the issue» of his discharge due to health reasons. She assured him that she could influence members of the military medical commission, create the necessary medical history, and continue his inpatient treatment.

The doctor valued her «services» at 4500 US dollars, demanding an upfront payment of 3000 dollars, with plans to receive the remaining amount after the treatment was completed.

She was apprehended in her office while receiving the first part of the bribe.

The full circle of participants involved in the illegal earnings scheme is being established.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the SV ORUP No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region, with operational support from the Odesa Division of the DWB of the National Police.
