Arrest of an Izmail Resident for Selling Dangerous Items

Law enforcement officials apprehended a 39-year-old man from Izmail who was trying to sell dangerous items. He was caught during the sale of two F-1 grenades for 5 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by the police.

Officers received information that the man was looking for a buyer for the ammunition. During the documentation of the crime, police recorded the transfer of grenades near the railway station. The suspect had the ammunition and fuses seized, which were sent for examination, along with the money received from the sale.

The individual explained that the grenades were inherited from a deceased relative, and he later decided to sell them. He has been charged under part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code (illegal handling of explosives), which carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison. The court has chosen a preventive measure of custody.

"Law enforcement reminds that voluntary surrender of weapons and ammunition exempts one from criminal liability" - the announcement stated.
