On March 27, during a patrol of the state border, the crew of a Coast Guard boat discovered an empty inflatable boat in the sea. As they approached, the border guards saw a man clinging to the side of the vessel, struggling to get out of the water. This was reported by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

Due to the cold water temperature, the victim was rapidly losing strength. The sailors immediately pulled him aboard, provided necessary assistance, and warmed him with hot tea. It turned out that the man had fallen into the water due to his own carelessness. The boat was towed back to shore.

"The condition of the rescued person is satisfactory, and he did not require medical assistance," the report stated.
