In Chornomorsk, Odessa region, three individuals posing as military personnel assaulted a 41-year-old cyclist. They demanded documents and forcibly pushed him into a car. The police have initiated a criminal investigation.
The incident occurred on the road near Chornomorsk. The perpetrators, dressed in military uniforms, blocked the cyclist's path and began demanding documents, accompanying their actions with physical violence.
It has been reported that these young men have no connection to military service. The victim managed to report the incident to emergency services. Police quickly located the victim and discovered that the attackers are members of a local public organization without authority to conduct mobilization efforts.
The police seized the vehicle used to detain the cyclist, along with membership cards of the organization and other evidence. The suspects have been charged with unlawfully assuming authority and illegal detention.
Under the law, they face up to five years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
