Today, April 27, in the afternoon, an accident took place on Prince Yaroslav Mudry Avenue.

According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department of the Odessa regional police, preliminary information indicates that a 46-year-old female driver of a «Ravon» lost control while exiting a car wash, damaging a fence and driving onto the sidewalk, where she struck a 7-year-old girl, pinning her against a parked «Renault» vehicle.

Medical personnel hospitalized the child with suspected pubic bone fracture, along with bruises and abrasions.

Law enforcement checked the driver for intoxication, and she was found to be sober.

The investigative team from the regional police is working to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The possibility of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations is being considered.

Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to be attentive and careful while driving.
