Today, April 28, 2025, a traffic accident took place on the M-14 highway connecting Odessa and Mykolaiv, within the village of Vyzirka.

According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transportation crimes investigation department at the Odessa regional police, it has been preliminarily established that a female driver of a «Toyota» caused a collision while overtaking, involving two passenger cars and a truck.

As a result of the accident, one driver lost their life, while two other drivers and one passenger were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

The scene was attended by investigative teams from the Odessa police department, patrol police, and the investigative unit from police station No. 3 of the Odessa district police.

Investigators have registered the incident under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of road safety rules leading to death or severe bodily harm.

A series of expert examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation to clarify all circumstances of the accident.

Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to road safety rules and remain cautious while driving.
