According to reports, "The State Bureau of Investigations has revealed that the commander used four subordinates for personal needs."
In December 2024, the officer allegedly directed four servicemen to renovate an apartment in Podilsk registered under the name of his civil partner's mother.
From December 2024 to April 2025, these soldiers engaged in renovation tasks such as tiling, plastering walls, and installing plumbing instead of fulfilling combat assignments.
Despite their absence from service, the soldiers continued to receive combat pay, leading to state losses exceeding 500,000 hryvnias.
Meanwhile, other military units were engaged in combat operations on the front lines.
DBR officials apprehended the commander at the apartment where he was performing the renovations. Currently, authorities are deciding on preventive measures and his suspension from duty. He could face up to 12 years in prison.
