In the Odesa region, law enforcement has arrested the acting head of a territorial recruitment center for corruption. The official allegedly promised to remove an individual from a wanted list for $1,500. He has been charged and is currently held in custody.

Investigators found that the suspect demanded money from a conscript who had violated military registration rules. The official instructed the victim to transfer funds to his bank account, after which he was detained.

Authorities charged him under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which stipulates a penalty of up to 10 years in prison for such offenses.

The court has set a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail exceeding one million hryvnias. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the military prosecutor's office.

All circumstances surrounding the case are currently being clarified.
