On December 23, 2024, the «#ARTODESSA» gallery at the Summer Theatre of the City Garden hosted the conference titled «Odessa Collections».

The event gathered prominent collectors, cultural scholars, and local historians from Odessa.

The primary goal of the conference was to revive the tradition of the collectors' community in Odessa for active collaboration in preserving the cultural and historical heritage of Ukraine.

Participants discussed topics related to the prospects for preserving private collections, the possibilities of their exhibition, museification, and cataloging. A significant aspect was the highlighted need for scientific research on collections.

Speakers included Ivan Liptuga, Felix Kohricht, Semen Kantor, Anna Golubovska, Taras Maksymiuk, Alexander Friedman, Sergey Sedykh, Dmitry Khamula, Denis Mitskevich, Alexander Surilov, Yulia Hurynenko, and Kateryna Pimenova.

Following the conference, a publication on collecting titled «The Universe Named Odessa» is being prepared.

The conference was organized by the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odessa City Council.
