New Rehabilitation Program for People with Disabilities in Ukraine

Due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the number of people with disabilities in Ukraine is steadily increasing, particularly among those with severe impairments such as multiple amputations and spinal injuries.

These individuals require high-quality rehabilitation devices to restore their functions.

The state guarantees the provision of modern prosthetics and rehabilitation aids that enable the restoration of lost functions, adaptation to new circumstances, and return to active social life.

All relevant information about the prosthetics program is gathered on one resource — the online platform protez.msp.gov.ua, launched by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

Within the framework of the program, individuals can receive prosthetics or other rehabilitation aids free of charge, as well as repair, replacement, and maintenance services. Support is available at all stages — from submitting an application to receiving the product itself.

Free provision of rehabilitation aids for individuals with disabilities is carried out through the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities. The Ministry of Social Policy continuously improves the state rehabilitation program to make the provision process as simple and accessible as possible for individuals.
