French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot termed the discussions held in Paris on April 17 as a pivotal event for France, bringing together representatives from the USA, Europe, and Ukraine.

Barrot shared his insights during an LCI broadcast, as reported by "European Truth".

Following the gathering that included delegations from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the USA, he stated that it represents a "significant diplomatic achievement".

"This is a crucial diplomatic step for France, as it marked the first time that representatives from the USA, Ukraine, and Europe sat together at one table," he emphasized.

The minister also stressed the importance of such meetings, noting that "this is all about moving towards our shared goal: peace".

"To make this happen, we must keep the dialogue going. The USA wants to end this conflict," he continued, adding that the Americans are "listening" and aiming for a ceasefire.

It was reported that on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron hosted a US delegation at the Élysée Palace. A meeting also took place in Paris between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives from France, Germany, and the UK.

US Special Representative for Ukraine Issues Keith Kellogg mentioned the "very productive" discussions in Paris and shared a photo with the Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
