A new national record has been set in Odessa - cadets and students of the Ukrainian Naval Forces have unfurled the largest navy flag.

This was reported by the commander of the Navy, Oleksii Neizhpapa, on his Facebook page.

The flag measures 35 meters in length and 19.8 meters in width. It was unfurled on the Potemkin Steps. The event has been recorded in the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

"Our flag symbolizes courage, resilience, and dedication to our people. Under this flag, we have achieved many victories. I believe the greatest are yet to come!" - emphasized the Navy commander.

The flag was unfurled in celebration of Navy Day, which is observed in Ukraine on the first Sunday of July.
