Inclusion Lessons in Odesa Schools
Inclusion lessons in Odesa schools promote the development of youth that embraces diversity and values human dignity.
Evacuated children from Donetsk have received the keys to their new homes in Odesa.
These are not just houses — they represent a new beginning for children who have lost their homes. Six spacious, fully furnished houses have been purchased in various neighborhoods of the city. Each of these houses accommodates between 8 to 12 children.
In the near future, plans are underway to acquire an additional four houses for two evacuated family-type children’s homes and two newly formed families that are currently being established here in Odesa.
«A special thank you to the First Lady Olena Zelenska for her support, as well as the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine — they not only devised a plan for implementation but also allocated funds from the state budget. Gratitude also goes to the UNICEF team for their ongoing assistance. We, as always, contributed a bit from the city budget because when it comes to children, we don’t count pennies. We count smiles,» noted Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
The mayor wished the new residents that their homes become places of strength, joy, and new beginnings. The municipality will always be nearby and ready to support.
