Odessa Under Attack: Strikes on the Privoz Market
Russian forces have struck Odessa, targeting the Privoz Market. We explore the aftermath and the response to this incident.
Odesa is hosting an international business forum aimed at strengthening collaboration between Ukraine and Poland. The event gathered representatives from governments, businesses, and investors to discuss opportunities in transportation, construction, and energy sectors, focusing on the reconstruction of Ukraine and the development of regional infrastructure.
«There is no independent Poland without an independent Ukraine». These words, spoken over a century ago, remain relevant today, highlighting the close relationship between the two nations.
Poland's Consul General in Odesa, Mr. Jacek Gocłowski, emphasized during the forum's opening that economic cooperation is a vital step towards integrating Ukraine into European civilization.
«We are part of the European family. For our collective security, it is important that Ukraine integrates into the Western sphere, especially through economic efforts», — noted the diplomat.
Andrzej Dyk, head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, highlighted that Poland has historically been one of Ukraine's most active supporters of its European path. Today, it continues to develop partnerships based on trust and mutual respect. Business is always associated with risks but simultaneously opens new opportunities, and Odesa represents such a chance for Polish-Ukrainian collaboration.
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, acknowledged the contribution of the Polish community to the city’s development since its inception and supported the forum as a platform for implementing joint infrastructure projects, particularly in energy and environmental protection.
«Together, we can realize ambitious ideas that shape a modern European future», — stressed Hennadii Trukhanov.
