A Celebration for Kids: A Festival that Unites
A festival that brings together children from various backgrounds for creativity and growth.
On October 29, 2025, a seminar was held in Odesa addressing the latest methods for treating breast and lung cancer, attended by leading medical professionals.
This event was organized by the Department of Health of the Odesa City Council in collaboration with the All-Ukrainian International Association of Evidence-Based Medicine and the Odesa Regional Family Medicine Association.
During the seminar, topics such as early diagnosis of cancer, innovative treatment achievements, and the support of palliative patients at every stage of their illness were discussed.
According to last year’s data, over 47,000 cancer patients were registered in Odesa, including 168 children, highlighting the importance of prevention and early diagnostics.
The Health Department has launched the “Odesa Against Cancer” project, aimed at improving access to diagnostics and treatment of cancer diseases.
Thanks to weekly preventive check-ups organized by the Department, early cancer diagnostics have become more accessible to the population.
In the first half of 2025, over 30,000 preventive examinations were conducted in Odesa healthcare facilities, with more than 15,500 being cancer screenings, leading to the identification of 300 suspected cancer cases.
Specialists have developed patient roadmaps containing recommendations for timely prevention and detection of diseases, available via QR codes.
Informational materials are displayed at bus stops and other public places to raise awareness about early cancer diagnostics options.
