Odessa Climbing Championship: New Victories and Young Talents

On January 25, 2025, the open climbing championship took place in Odessa (bouldering) along with the school's open cup.

A total of 72 athletes participated: 40 boys and 32 girls.

Participants included athletes from the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve and various clubs and lyceums in Odessa.

In the 2010-2011 age group, the first place was taken by Yuliya Karaban and Timur Gladkiy, with Varvara Nimienko and Artem Mykhailov in second, and Kostyantyn Ivanov taking third.

Among athletes born in 2012-2013, the winners were Vira Hutsol and Hryhoriy Chaplya, while Melania Bodnar and Hai Sukhanov secured second place, and third went to Veronika Chernienko and Mark Barzikov.

For the 2014-2015 group, gold medals were awarded to Mariya Kateryva and Yegor Falko, silver to Kateryna Yatsenyk and Yaroslav Shvydkyi, and bronze to Serafim Koroyev and Oleksandr Nedoluzhenko.

In the 2016-2017 age category, Ksenia Tsyrulnykova and Mykhailo Baranov celebrated victory, with Daria Rembovska and David Dolhyk in second, and Anna Anfinohenova and Matviy Lypovskyi in third, all from SDYUSSHOR.

The youngest participants born in 2018-2019 competed for the SDYUSSHOR cup. The winners were Teona Pashaieva and Dmytro Shymkov, with Sofia Nazarova and Mykyta Shvydkyi in second place, and Maia Shcherbina and Yan Krasnoslobodtsev in third.

The athletes who achieved prize positions were prepared by their coaches: Svitlana Svitlychna, Viktor Remnev, Oleksandra Starytska, Lyubov Zymova, and others.
