In January 2023, teachers responsible for the subject "Defense of Ukraine" in newly established educational centers participated in a practical seminar-training on shooting skills at the organization "Stvol".

These educators received theoretical and practical knowledge from professional instructors on the use of various types of firearms.

During the seminar, participants enhanced their understanding of safety, teaching methods in shooting, and working with specialized equipment and combat weapons.

The event was organized by the Odesa City Center for Military-Patriotic Education with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.

An open lesson on the subject "Defense of Ukraine" was held at Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bystryna, conducted by the honored teacher of Ukraine Oleg Denysov.

The new model educational program "Defense of Ukraine. Integrated Course" aims to cultivate patriotic awareness and practical skills for preserving life. It offers a unified content for all students, ensuring equal opportunities for acquiring essential knowledge.

Thanks to the program update, high school students will be able to:

- learn about different types of drones and their applications;

- provide first aid in combat conditions;

- shoot firearms;

- understand what information warfare is and how to avoid hostile information-psychological operations (IPSO).
