From October 3 to 13, 2024, Kyiv hosted the Ukrainian billiards championship for men and women with disabilities, as well as veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families.

Athletes from the organization «Odesa-Basket» also participated in the competitions and earned prize places in the championship. 

The first place among veterans was won by Serhiy Kotsyuba, while Valeriy Chuhuiev and Dmytro Danilov secured third places. 

During an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov officially congratulated the athletes of «Odesa-Basket» on their success.

«You are a true example of courage and spirit. Your achievements inspire us all and demonstrate that there are no obstacles for those who have a goal and strive for victory,» the Mayor of Odesa expressed pride in the winners' accomplishments. 

Additionally, Hennadiy Trukhanov reminded about the «Social Taxi» project, which provides free transportation around the city for people with disabilities. 

«This project is an important step towards ensuring equal opportunities for all Odesa residents. We aim to create comfortable conditions for every inhabitant of our city,» the Mayor of Odesa noted.
